Objective

The New Student Orientation Programme was organized to facilitate a smooth transition of newly admitted students into the school community. The programme aimed to:

• Familiarize students with the school's vision, mission, values, rules, and culture.
• Introduce the academic system, learning expectations, and student responsibilities.
• Create awareness about the various academic, co-curricular, and support facilities available on campus.
• Build confidence among students by addressing their queries and concerns.
• Foster a sense of belonging and encourage students to actively participate in school life from the very beginning.

Programme Highlights

The programme commenced with the assembly of students under the supervision of Mrs. Roseline and Mrs. Padmaja. The students were warmly welcomed by Mrs. B. Vijayalaxmi, Academic Coordinator (Middle School), who emphasized the importance of discipline, commitment, and making the best use of the opportunities provided by the school.

• Mrs. Y. Sushila presented “Our School,” introducing students to the institution's vision, values, code of conduct, and overall school culture.
• Mrs. Roseline conducted the session “My Learning,” highlighting effective learning strategies, academic expectations, and the responsibilities of every learner.
• Mrs. Padmaja familiarized students with the school's infrastructure and facilities, including laboratories, library, sports amenities, and co-curricular opportunities that contribute to holistic development.
• An interactive Question-and-Answer Session, led by Mrs. Y. Sushila, enabled students to seek clarification, express their concerns, and gain confidence in adapting to their new environment.
• The programme concluded with an inspiring address by the Principal, Mrs. Qamar Sultana, who encouraged students to uphold the school's values, pursue excellence, and develop into responsible and compassionate individuals.
• A guided campus tour conducted by Mrs. Roseline and Mrs. Y. Sushila provided students with firsthand exposure to various sections of the school campus.

Outcome

The orientation programme successfully achieved its intended objectives by helping students:

• Develop a clear understanding of the school's ethos, expectations, and academic environment.
• Become familiar with the campus facilities and the opportunities available for their overall development.
• Gain confidence in interacting with teachers and adapting to the new school environment.
• Understand their roles and responsibilities as members of the school community.
• Feel welcomed, connected, and motivated to begin their academic journey with enthusiasm and a positive mindset.

The programme laid a strong foundation for the students' successful integration into school life and reinforced the school's commitment to providing a supportive, inclusive, and learner-centered environment.
