Dussehra is also known as Vijayadashami it is a vibrant and significant Indian festival that marks the triumph of good over evil.

The day was very vibrant and colourful with yellow attire and a wide variety of beautiful flower stacks. The foundation wing of Ramadevi Public School celebrated Dussehra celebrations in a grand way on 19th October, 2025. The school playground was filled with the beautiful Bathukammas prepared with various seasonal flowers which is a significant part of the Bathukamma festival celebrated in Telangana.

Children came dressed in ethnic clothes and danced for the Bathukamma folk songs circling the Bathukamma in large groups with immense pleasure. Teachers narrated the stories and explained the significance of Dussehra.

Planned various age appropriate activities and made them understand our culture and tradition. Pre Primary children were involved in the fun and interactive games, Class 1 prepared beautiful toran with leaves and colourful flowers. Class 2 conducted story narration on Dussehra, children drew beautiful pictures depicting Dussehra like Lord Rama, Ravana and Goddess Durga, a very interesting and mouth watering sharing activity "Telangana Ruchulu" where children brought different varieties of traditional food items. They shared among themselves and enjoyed the taste of special food items. Children understood the nutritious values of a traditional food and connection with the festivals.

These activities not only add and element of excitement to the festival but also impart valuable lessons that will stay with the children throughout their lives.
